February 4, 2013 – The National School Breakfast Week (NSBW), March 4-8, 2013, will be here before you know it. Be sure to check out SNA’s members-only resource site, www.schoolnutrition.org/nsbw, to access downloadable tools and resources for NSBW.

The 2013 NSBW theme, “Be a Star with School Breakfast,” will be fun for your students, staff and school community. Organize a successful and memorable NSBW celebration with tools from SNA:

• NSBW Toolkit – 10+ pages of creative ideas and celebration tips.
• Menus – A week’s worth of menu ideas for NSBW.
• NSBW Writing Contest – Ask your students to write an answer to this question: “If you could eat school breakfast with anyone in the world, who would it be?” Three national winners will have their responses published in School Nutrition and receive prize packs from SNA!
• Official NSBW 2013 merchandise – Aprons, t-shirts, balloons, posters, student giveaways and more are available at http://emporium.schoolnutrition.org.
• Marketing/PR tools – Get the word out! Use SNA’s press release, proclamation, web banners, and other resources to spread the word about NSBW to parents, administrators, media, and the local community.
