October 22, 2012 – We hope you and your students had a great time celebrating National School Lunch Week (NSLW) with the “What’s Cooking?” theme.
Students at Yarbrough Elementary (AL) show off their decorated chef hats for NSLW
NSLW may be over, but SNA provides many resources to help you keep the excitement alive and continue to promote your healthy changes to students, parents and the community.
New PR Resources – toolkit, videos, talking points, activity sheets, handouts and more. This page has everything you need to spread the word that school meals are healthy and delicious.
Tray Talk – use this page to share your success stories, and even your recipes! You can also direct parents here to help them get more information about school meals.
Send Your National School Lunch Week Photos to School Nutrition magazine
Did you decorate, offer new menu items, or invite a special guest to lunch? Please send in a description and photos of your NSLW activities to School Nutrition magazine, and highlights from your celebration may appear in the magazine’s wrap-up article next April!
Send them by e-mail to email@example.com or by mail to NSLW Wrap, School Nutrition, 120 Waterfront St., Suite 300, National Harbor, MD 20745.
[Note: Submission of photos grants permission to use the images in the magazine or other SNA materials.]
