Think you have no time for professional development? Think again! Pre-conference sessions are a great way to stay ahead of the curve by gaining access to information you won’t find anywhere else. Plus, you’ll earn while you learn. All ANC attendees who attend the full conference will earn 12 CEUs toward USDA Professional Standards, SNA’ Certificate Program or the SNS credential renewal. In addition, you can earn even more CEUs by participating in one of the pre-conference sessions previewed below. Pre-conference sessions also allow you to earn Key Area Hours toward initial certification or for moving up a level. Learn more about the SNA Certificate Program.

State Agency Pre-Conference: Competition, It’s the American Way! A Proper Procurement Pays!

Industry Pre-Con: Let’s Talk: “Real Time” with Industry and USDA Child Nutrition Programs (CNP)

Industry representatives: This session led by USDA will provide an overview of CNP meal programs and how the Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGAs) impact nutrition and meal pattern requirements. Industry will gain a better understanding of policy guidance for developing products that meet CNP requirements for school meals, child care, and Smart Snacks. This session will also provide a step-by-step review on how to develop acceptable documentation for Administrative Reviews (CN Labeling and Product Formulation Statements). In addition, the session will allow an opportunity for USDA and industry leaders to discuss ways to exchange views and develop collaborative strategies.
