Ethics has become an all-consuming staple of modern life. We live in a culture that is sliding toward zero tolerance of ethical violations of any type. Wendy Patrick, a renowned speaker on the subject, will discuss business ethics theories and concepts in this bonus session for all SNIC attendees. In this interactive session, Wendy will outline different ethical theories and help you determine the ethical lens you use to problem solve on and off the job.
School nutrition industry consultant, Barry Sackin, will review the prescriptive regulations which govern procurement for school foodservice, so you gain an understanding of the rules that help buyers avoid costly pitfalls.

USDA Foods – Reaching Out to Stakeholders for Solutions
Are you a stakeholder in the USDA Foods process? Do you have opinions how the USDA Foods process could be improved? Would you like to know more about the USDA Foods Business Management Improvement initiative? If the answer to any of these questions is “Yes,” this session is for you! Join Dave Tuckwiller, Commodity Procurement Division Director, USDA Agricultural Marketing Service, to learn more about the “farm-to-fork” USDA Foods process, provide USDA your feedback about challenges in the process, and brainstorm solutions to those challenges.
