Rovenia Brock, PhD, better known as “Dr. Ro,” is a leading nutrition coach and an award-winning health journalist renowned for her easy-to-apply diet and fitness tips. She was recently named by More magazine as one of America’s top-five nutritionists and her best-selling book, Dr. Ro’s Ten Secrets to Livin’ Healthy, has been praised by USA Today as a top- ten diet book. Her quintessential expertise has been featured in O Magazine and has landed her frequent appearances on “The Early Show,” “The View” and “The Dr. Oz Show.” She also is executive producer and host of "Dr. Ro's Fit Kidz," a new health and fitness children's series. Dr. Ro, who lost her mother to cancer when she was 9 years old, has committed herself to helping others break bad health habits and replace them with positive behaviors. It is an important message school nutrition professionals already strive to convey to children every day.

A best-selling author and host of Food Network's hit show, "Healthy Appetite," Ellie Krieger is a prominent registered dietitian specializing in nutrition and health communications. Through her work, she has helped people of all ages achieve balance in food, health and life. Her three books have each topped The New York Times best-seller list, including The Food You Crave: Luscious Recipes for a Healthy Life, which was recognized by the International Association of Culinary Professionals and received a James Beard Foundation Award. Her extensive expertise also has made her the go-to nutritionist in the media today. She is a regular contributor to numerous magazines and she has appeared on such programs as “The Today Show” and “Good Morning America.” In this lively presentation, Krieger will share how she hopes to change the way society views food, health and nutrition.

Come join SNA, industry partners, your friends and colleagues for the first-ever School Nutrition Pep Rally and get pumped for the grand opening of the ANC 2010 Exhibit Hall. This high-energy event will pay special tribute to the “TEAM” of SNA Patrons for all they do for the Association and school nutrition programs nationwide. Also, be sure to give three cheers for your SNA President Dora Rivas, as she’s joined by an NFL football player and members of the Dallas Cowboys cheerleading squad. You will leave this event enthused and ready to down-set-hut your way on to the exhibit floor, where you’ll score winning ideas and innovations for your program. So, what are you waiting for?!
