Winston Equipment Grant

The Winston Industries Equipment Grant program 10 pieces of equipment from Winston Industries to one school district in need of improving its school meal kitchen facilities through a competitive grant process.

What equipment does the winner receive?
Equipment received from this award consists of 10 pieces of equipment from Winston Industries, which includes:

  • holding cabinets
  • holding drawers
  • thermalizers

Winston Industries works closely with the grant winner to determine its needs and help make final selections as well as arrange delivery of the equipment to the district.

Who can apply?
To apply, you must:

  • Be an active SNA director-level member, who has been a member of SNA for at least one year
  • Be the person responsible for directing the school nutrition program of the school district

How can I apply?
The SNF has received 50 applications for the Winston Grant and is no longer accepting applications for 2015-16. Please check back in Fall 2016 for future opportunities.

Baxter Equipment for Education Grant 

The Baxter Equipment for Education Grant awards equipment to one school in need of improving its school meal kitchen facilities through a competitive grant process. The winning school foodservice director also receives $500 for use towards registration and travel expenses to attend and be recognized at SNA’s Annual National Conference. 

What equipment does the winner receive? 
Equipment received from this award consists of one (1) OV310 Mini Rotating Rack Convection Oven (  Electric or  Gas), as well as:

  • Stand base
  • 2-year parts & labor warranty
  • Delivery & installation by Hobart Service
  • Training/demonstration with sales representative

Baxter Manufacturing works closely with the grant winner to ensure the proper unit is supplied for the utilities available, arrange delivery of the equipment to the district and ensure staff is trained to use the equipment.
