Child Nutrition Industry Conference 2006
Disney Contemporary Hotel | Orlando, Fl. | January 15-17, 2006
A Magical Experience
"Everything you need to create magic and release your brilliance is inside of you." These words from motivational speaker Simon Bailey had special resonance at SNA's annual Child Nutrition Industry Conference (CNIC), as this year's event was held at the headquarters of entertainment magic: Walt Disney World. Arguably the preeminent business model for customer service partnered successfully with creative "show" in the United States, Disney presented the ideal setting to inspire school nutrition operators and foodservice industry representatives.
Indeed, more than 400 attendees from around the country gathered at Disney's Contemporary Hotel in Orlando, Fla., January 15-17, 2006, eager to learn from some of the most creative talents working in hospitality--and school foodservice--today. They were treated to an outstanding program coordinated by Co-Chairs Joyce Lyons, executive director, child nutrition services Aldine (Texas) Independent School District; and Chuck Ainsworth, division manager, SFSPac Food Service Sanitation System. There was much to inspire participants.
These Executive Summaries capture the key messages from each general session at CNIC and present this important information in a simple, clear, and compelling way designed to make the information more memorable and useful for attendees, and easy for attendees to share with others in their organizations.
