The Thelma Flanagan Gold Achievement Award honors state leaders who support high professional standards for all members throughout their year as State President.
2012-13 SNA of South Carolina President Imogene Clarke (right) being recognized at ANC.
This award is named after an SNA pioneer leader and Past President, who throughout her long child nutrition career championed high professional standards for all SNA members. She promoted ongoing member training as the key to development of quality school meal programs and encouraged long-range vision, challenging members to adapt to change and raise the bar to move child nutrition programs forward.
All State Presidents must submit a State Affiliate President Recognition Form to their Regional Directors by December 15 annually to show that a plan is in place for the year ahead, which supports SNA’s Strategic Plan.
