You must meet all requirements for a specific Certificate Level prior to sending your application to SNA.Certificate Levels SNA’s Certificate in School Nutrition Program has 3 levels and a Trainer Certificate Level. Level 1 Certificate in School Nutrition Requirements (pdf) Level 2 Certificate in School Nutrition Requirements (pdf) Level 3 Certificate in School Nutrition Requirements (pdf) Listing of Courses by Key Area (pdf) - Use to determine the Key Area of courses completed Trainer Certificate Requirements and Renewal Information (pdf)NOTE: Individuals applying for Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in School Nutrition will be required to submit a copy of their High School Diploma/GED along with course documentation, application form and payment.Step 2: Documentation and Payment Gather copies of all your documents using the checklist for the Certificate Level that you are applying for. Once you have determined that you qualify for a specific Certificate Level, complete and submit the application form, along with the fee and documentation to the address listed on the form. (Please allow 4-6 weeks for your application to be processed.)Step 3: Celebrate! Upon approval of your application, SNA will send you a Verification Letter to confirm you earned your SNA Certificate in School Nutrition. NOTE: Individuals earn their Certificate in School Nutrition for a one-year period. To keep your Certificate current you must obtain CEUs within your annual certificate period and pay your yearly renewal fee. The Trainer Program certificate is valid for three years and requires an annual payment of the maintenance fee. Incomplete Applications The application fee is non-refundable. If your application is incomplete, you will receive a letter listing additional documentation needed to earn your Certificate. Requested documents must be received by SNA within 30 calendar days of receipt of notice. If SNA received your documents are after 30 calendar days, you will have to re-submit the entire application and pay the initial certification fee again.
