Last Chance for 2014 SNA Election Nominations


May 16, 2014 – The deadline to nominate yourself (or someone you know) for SNA’s national Board of Directors and Nominating Committee election is fast approaching! Submissions must be received by May 30, 2014.

The Nominating Committee is in search of talented candidates eager to follow in the tradition of past SNA leaders to help guide the future direction of the Association and influence the future of school meal programs. If you or a colleague is up for both the challenges and the rewards of SNA leadership, it’s time to step forward!

Open positions on the Board of Directors for the Fall 2014 election include Vice President, Mideast Regional Director, Midwest Regional Director, Southeast Regional Director, West Regional Director, Education Committee Chair, Public Policy & Legislation Committee Chair, Research Committee Chair and Industry Representative. Representatives are also sought to serve on the SNA Nominating Committee from the Northeast, Northwest and Southwest regions. The positions will be elected in Fall 2014 and be installed at the 2015 Annual National Conference (ANC) in Salt Lake City.

If you would like to recommend well-qualified state and regional leaders, including yourself, please send an e-mail with the nominee’s contact information to Nominating Committee Staff Liaison Jean Geraghty at The Nominating Committee will meet in July, just prior to ANC 2014, in Boston, MA to select the candidates for the election ballot.
